Council on Commercial Diplomacy
Decisions
The CoDRA Code of Professional Conduct
Council on Commercial Diplomacy is fully committed to delivering its part of the transformation of the commercial diplomacy skills delivery system which is vital to continuing global economic prosperity. Council believes that, the workforce already in place at diplomatic institutions and organisations needs to be targeted. One of the CoDRA fundamental aims is to protect the integrity and increase the professionalism of Qualified Certified Commercial Diplomats.
To further this chief aim, all Masters and Qualified Certified Diplomats are required to adhere to the CoDRA Code of Professional Conduct, as a way of providing tangible evidence of their commitment to professionalism and probity. QCDs who breach the CoDRA Code may be subject to disciplinary action by Council.
Council's decisions are:
- to collaborate and help reform and rebuild the commercial diplomacy skills supply system globally (by improving how commercial diplomacy skills are delivered by institutes, academies, colleges, universities and private trainers, for employers and their workforce).
- to advance its essential work on commercial diplomacy qualification reform, to better meet the needs of tomorrow's workforce.
- to further develop network capacity and capability, in areas such as employer engagement, qualifications and professional standards work, and research.
- to build on its strong global reputation for "thought leadership" and commercial diplomacy work.
- to work effectively with key partners across the commercial diplomacy skills system, to ensure that the system delivers consistently for employers.
- to address the issues of corporate social responsibility and responsible education.
